Week 1 Has Come & Gone

April 6th, 2010 at 12:39 pm . Posted in SWEAT Challenge, Weigh In .

It’s been 1 week since I had Diet Coke. I was worried I would give up and have a drink but I haven’t felt the urge to. Sure, I have thought about it a few times but after a few conversations with myself and my head I managed not to have a drink. It helps that Tyler is not drinking Diet Coke anymore too.

I have gone from a night person to morning person. We’re always in bed way before midnight and I feel great in the mornings. On the weekends we usually don’t wake up until 10-11AM but this recent weekend we woke up around 8AM. It felt great to finish boot camp & some other things all before noon. Sunday morning Tyler and I went on a bike ride to my parents’ house (around 4 miles). Smelling all those flowers on the way was breathtaking… even smelled food cooking from people’s houses!

I’m always sore! I just might as well as get used to being sore because it’s not going to get any better. Thankfully I have been drinking a lot of water so I haven’t cramped up in my legs from all the new muscles that are developing. Oh, and I hate lunges!

Last night was my first official weigh-in for week 1. I lost 8 pounds but I swear it was 11 pounds from my home scale in the morning. I don’t like how they weigh us after an hour of working out and drinking tons of water. I’m still proud of myself for losing 8 pounds anyways!

This week I’ll be able to add in protein (chicken, eggs, etc) to my diet. I’m so looking forward to this! I’ll have to share some recipes later on.

WTG on the weight loss! I noticed your blog is up to date. I will be following you and getting on the ball with my own weightloss.
Also I use to be a 2lt bottle of pop drinker a day. I never used a glass. Yes I know very classy. lol
I can tell you once you get off the pop for awhile you wont miss it. And you will be glad you stopped filling yourself with that junk.
    You are doing great!!

I’ve been wondering how it went for you this week. 8 POUNDS?? That is so awesome. Keep up the good work. :)

Awesome! 8 lb is like Biggest Loser level. I’m so proud of you. I quit soda a long time ago and now when I drink it, I can only have 4 oz and I get full from the sugar. Ick.

One tip: for desert, bake an apple for a few min with powdered cinnamon on it. Cinnamon helps your metabolism speed up!

I know you already know how proud we are of you, but here goes…. “WE’RE REALLY PROUD OF YOU”!!!!

Continue to work as hard as you can. You will be rewarded with awesome results!!

    LOVE YOU!

You’re doing awesome. Giving up Diet Coke and getting more sleep are huge non-scale victories too. I hope week 2 is going well!
