Week 1 Has Come & Gone

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

It’s been 1 week since I had Diet Coke. I was worried I would give up and have a drink but I haven’t felt the urge to. Sure, I have thought about it a few times but after a few conversations with myself and my head I managed not to have a drink. It helps that Tyler is not drinking Diet Coke anymore too.

I have gone from a night person to morning person. We’re always in bed way before midnight and I feel great in the mornings. On the weekends we usually don’t wake up until 10-11AM but this recent weekend we woke up around 8AM. It felt great to finish boot camp & some other things all before noon. Sunday morning Tyler and I went on a bike ride to my parents’ house (around 4 miles). Smelling all those flowers on the way was breathtaking… even smelled food cooking from people’s houses!

I’m always sore! I just might as well as get used to being sore because it’s not going to get any better. Thankfully I have been drinking a lot of water so I haven’t cramped up in my legs from all the new muscles that are developing. Oh, and I hate lunges!

Last night was my first official weigh-in for week 1. I lost 8 pounds but I swear it was 11 pounds from my home scale in the morning. I don’t like how they weigh us after an hour of working out and drinking tons of water. I’m still proud of myself for losing 8 pounds anyways!

This week I’ll be able to add in protein (chicken, eggs, etc) to my diet. I’m so looking forward to this! I’ll have to share some recipes later on.

Secretly on Jillian’s Black Team

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

This took me a lot of guts to post this picture on here. I hate full body pictures of myself. You can also see that I love wearing black and am secretly on my own black team for The Biggest Loser.

Last week I noticed my weight scale wasn’t really working since I weighed myself with Wii Fit and it said I weighed less. I didn’t know shopping for a new weight scale could be so exciting! We now have a new fancy weight scale that shows you your body fat percentage and tells you how much you have to lose based on the information we entered at the beginning with our weight goal. So I lost 4.2 pounds and I am hoping I can still pull some pounds off this week. I am obsessed with weighing myself everyday and I need to stop doing that! However I like knowing if that day was bad for me so I can acknowledge what it was and make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Tonight I felt amazing when I went to the gym with my Dad. We were working out on the elliptical bike only when a few minutes later, a young gal, got on to the bike next to me and was going at a crazy speed! I wanted to thank her at the end because she seriously brought some game in me. I was bobbing up and down and I’d like to think that helps with my weight loss… perhaps maybe make my boobs smaller!

My new goal is to stay longer at the gym and do more work outs since I need to spice it up before I get bored.

My new favorite dessert is fat-free sherbet!
